WHAT WE DID

Lighting / Pre-Visualisation

When Capital Sound Hire got in touch with Stage and Light to provide lighting for the upcoming UK tour of Imelda May’s most highly anticipated album in three years, ‘Life, Love, Flesh and Blood’ , we were more than happy to oblige.

Working with LD James O’Neill, who had come up with a compact, versatile and easily tourable lighting rig, we were able to meet the budget requirements of the production as well as help James deliver a stunning looking show.

A single 40’ straight, upstage truss hung 9 x Mac Axiom Hybrid Spots and 6 x Chauvet 560z Washes which were the backbone of the show and helped create strong saturated colours paired with punchy breakup looks. Off the upstage cord hung 7 x silk drapes which were accented from below by 7 x Prolights Studio COB Pars.

The floor package utilised 6 x Axioms upstage and a further 4 x 560z Washes as side light. 9 x JTE Patt 2013’s on wind up stands and 7 x 650w Acclaim Fresnels were used to finish off the ‘vintage’ look of O’Neill’s show, all run from an Avolites Arena Console.

Prior to the show, Stage and Light created a Capture pre-visualisation file for O’Neill to pre-program his show on before heading out on the road. A full, ready-to-go PC visualiser suite was shipped out to aid him.
